GRAND CENTRAL AIRPORT - ACCESSIBLE AND CONVENIENT

GRAND CENTRAL AIRPORT - ACCESSIBLE AND CONVENIENT

Grand Central Airport is easily the most conveniently located airport in the thriving metropolis of Gauteng.

Situated on New Road in Midrand with easy access to the N1 highway and the Gautrain Midrand station, this bustling general aviation airport provides the executive traveller with effortless access to Johannesburg, Midrand and Pretoria’s major nodes.

Passage through Grand Central Airport occurs exclusively via private and chartered flights, the majority of flights being via helicopter or small aircraft of up to 20 seats. The airport offers hangarage and parking for private aircraft and a multitude of air charter companies who ply their trade from the busy runway. So whether you’re jetting off to a game farm for the weekend or need a helicopter drop at the golf course or your conference venue, Grand Central Airport is the ideal departure point.

There are two car rental companies situated in the terminal building ensuring seamless transition from air to road. In addition a shuttle service operates, free of charge, between Grand Central Airport and the Gautrain Midrand station, non-stop during rush hour and half hourly, on request, throughout the rest of the day.

A newly introduced executive departure lounge adds to the convenience of the airport and plans for a pilots’ lounge, where pilots can rest between flights, are underway.

Private pilots will find a variety of aviation services companies located at the airport, should they need technical assistance, and retail store Wings ‘n Things selling aviation accessories and equipment.

Also in the terminal building, The Harvard Café serves delicious meals with a delightful view of the runway.
